James L. Turlington

Mr. James L. “J.L.” Turlington, age 83, of Rockwood, TN passed away Saturday, November 8, 2008. He was a member of the Rockwood Church of Christ. Mr. Turlington was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and was retired from General Motors. Preceded in death by son, James L. Turlington; sisters, Effie Stephens, Lula Sherfield, Hazel Dillard; brother, J.T. Turlington.

Survivors include:

Daughters:              Ola M. Ledbetter & husband, Roger of Kettering, OH
                                  Lola Eggert & husband, Bill of Huntsville, AR
                                  Carolyn Snell of Overland, MO

Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren,
nieces & nephews

Step-children:         Eddie & Charlene Trammell, Mike Trammell, Patty & Dan Mills   

Brother:                    Eddie Turlington of Rockwood, TN

 

The family will receive friends Friday, November 14, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Evans Mortuary. Funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. in the chapel with Bro. Josh Lifford officiating. Graveside service and interment will be Saturday, November 15 at 11:00 a.m. in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood with honors by the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard.
