Mrs. Anita Juline Thomas, age 83, Tarwater Street, Rockwood, TN passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN.  She was born May 21, 1925 in Rockwood to Homer Richard and Patsy Josephine Bane Gilliam.  Mrs. Thomas was a loving and caring mother and grandmother.  She was preceded in death by her father; husband, Orville Bates Thomas; sons, James Thomas and Timothy Oren Thomas; and brothers, John Wayne Gilliam and George Gilliam.

The family will receive friends Saturday, November 1, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood.  The funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Evans Mortuary.  Interment will be held Sunday, November 2 at 2:00 p.m. in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood.
