Sylvia Francine Siler, age 69, departed this life on Sunday, December 9, 2007 in the Carolina Medical Center in Concord, NC. She was born August 20, 1938 in Rockwood, TN. She was raised in Rockwood where she attended Campbell School. During her school years, she excelled in basketball. She was raised in a Methodist home and accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior and joined Speights Chapel AME Zion Church. Later in life, she joined the Church of God of Hartford where she remained a member until her passing. Preceded in death father, Columbus Siler; brother, Richard Siler; sister, Othello Siler.

The family will receive friends Friday, December 14, 2007 from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. at Evans Mortuary. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel with Freda Hickman officiating. Graveside service will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood.
