Mr. Bill E. Schubert of Rockwood passed away Saturday, March 6, 2010.  He retired from the Tennessee Department of Corrections after 29 years in 2009.  He enjoyed gardening, loved flowers, building crafts and playing with his two grandchildren.  He was a loving husband, father and papa.  A member of Clymersville Baptist Church, he was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.  Preceded in death by parents W.L. and Emma Schubert;  three brothers Frank Schubert, Hugh L. Schubert and Roy Schubert;  sister Judy Schubert; and father/mother in law, Lige and Grace Cunningham.

 

Survivors include:

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 8th at 8:00 pm from the Chapel of Evans Mortuary with Rev.’s Charles Kelly and Ronnie Turpin officiating.  Interment will be Tuesday at 2:00 pm in the Roane Memorial Gardens with full military honors by the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard.  The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Evans Mortuary.
