My dear Laura, we had so much fun together in highschool and were lucky enough to get to spend some time together when I moved back to Tenn. for a couple of years.  We never got to spend enough time though.  Maybe we can keep each other out or trouble in heaven when I come to visit you there.  I am now fighting the same thing you were fighting, just another form or cancer.  Melonoma in the lung that traveled to the brain.  I have been in contact with your lovely son Brandon and your lovely husband Gary.  They both educated me in a loving way as to what you actually went through.  I didn't do enough when you were alive. I will promise you that I will keep in touch with Brandon.  I want him to come visit us in Tahoe and will find a way to get him here when I recover.  I am as stubborn as you and we both put up a fight for our lives. Too bad Dad didn't find a cure in all the years he worked at the lab.....
I think about you everyday and pray that you are having the time of your life in heaven with all of your animals and friends by your side. Miss you!!!
Love,
Peggy Mead-Mausshardt (Incline Village, NV)

I knew Laura while she was in high school.  She was (and still is in my heart) a fantastic lady.  Though we lost touch during the 70s, I have not forgotten.
May God hold her husband, children, and family.  Earth's loss is heaven's gain.
My sincere sympathies.
