Mr. Donald Lee Ramsey, Sr., age 50 of Kingston, TN, formerly of Knoxville, TN passed away Saturday, December 20, 2008 at his home.  He was a loving dad, papaw, brother, and friend who will be sadly missed by many.  He is preceded in death by son, Donald Lee Ramsey, Jr. (Casper); parents, Ed and Ludell Ramsey; sisters, Gail Craig and Sue Hatmaker; and special niece Alyson Hamby.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 23, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood.  The funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Evans Mortuary with Pastor Tim Ramey officiating.  Graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 24 at 12:00 p.m. at Edgewood Cemetery in Knoxville.  Pallbearers will be Mike Palmer, Ray Pratt, Wayne Sexton, Brian Sexton, John Edgar, and Tommy Forrester.

I have known Don all my life, grew up with Sarah and Casper. I remember days me and Sarah would sit on the hood of his old pick up truck and watch him dress squirrels and dear. Sarah and I always used to seem to think her daddy was handsome and reminded us of Randy Owens from Alabama. Those were the days. But I know Don and Casper and the whole Ramsey family will always be in my heart and life. May god bless and Don you will be missed.
