Mrs. Dorothy Boles Tate passed away Sunday, April 27, 2008 at 11:00 am.  She was born in Knoxville, Tennessee to the late Guy and Haley Harrell Boles.  Mrs. Tate lived may years in Kokomo, Indiana and resided the last several years in North Rhea County, Tennessee.  
She was preceded in death by brother Ray Harrell and a brother in law James Simmons.
Mrs. Tate was a member of the First Baptist Church in Spring City.

Survivors include:

Loving husband of 67 years  Karl Tate

Son and wife                             Richard and Linda Tate

Daughter and husband          Shelah and Raymond Worthman

Grandchildren                          Richard (Julie) and James (Lynn) Tate
                                                    Julie (Jeff) Ummell, Kim Carter, Sherrie (Brian) Caudle
                                                    Stephanie (Darwin) Taylor

Beloved Great grandchildren

Beloved sister & husband      Georgia Simmons and Robert Mears

Sister in law                               Mary Lou Harrell

Many loved Nephews, Nieces, and Cousins

Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Evans Mortuary with her cousin the Rev. James Stroud officiating, assisted by the Rev. Joe Franzone.  Interment will follow in the Spring City Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Evans Mortuary.
