Mr. George Rolland Stinnett, age 64, of N. Chamberlain Avenue, Rockwood, TN passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2008. He was employed as an electronics engineer in the aerospace industry. Mr. Stinnett was involved in development and design with Allied Bendix. He was an avid hunter, long bow archer and gun enthusiast and brought a deer home on the weekend of Tennessee’s first bow season. Preceded in death by parents, George & Mary Stinnett; sisters, Katherine Jeffries & Peggy Childs.

Survivors include:

Brother:                  John Stinnett & wife, Faye of Rockwood, TN

Sister:                     Helen Burnett & husband, Gene of Englewood, TN

Host of nieces & nephews

 

The family will receive friends Sunday, March 9, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Evans Mortuary. Funeral service will be Monday, March 10 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Evans Mortuary with Pastor Harlon McBride officiating. Graveside service will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery with honors by the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard.
