Rev. William “Denver” Spurlock,  age 78 of the Liberty Estates in Wartburg, Tennessee passed away Monday, March 31, 2008 at his home. A retired minister, he was a US Army Veteran of World War II.  He was preceded in death by his parents Grant & Anna Mae Spurlock;  sister, Hazel Baker; and a daughter, Beverly Wallace.

Survivors include:
Wife                  Nora Spurlock of Wartburg

Son                  Denver Spurlock (Ruby) of Clinton, Tennessee

Daughters      Lynn Pack of Rockwood, Tennessee
                         Alfiea Thompson (Steve) of Pioneer, Ohio
                         Jan Tatkowski (Bob) of Clinton
                         Sue McDonald (Tom) of Wartburg
                         Robin Hackler of LaGrange, Kentucky

Many Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren

Sisters            Ruby Long of Kentucky
                         Phyllis Howard of Michigan
                         Wanda Boley of Michigan
                       
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1:00 pm from the Chapel of Evans Mortuary with Rev. Gerald Barnette officiating.  Interment will follow in the Oak Ridge Memorial Park with military honors.  The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Evans Mortuary.
