Mr. Fred “Cotton” Marshall, Sr., age 83, of E. Winchester Street, Rockwood, TN, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2008 at his home. He was born November 27, 1924 in Kingston, TN. Mr. Marshall was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of WWII; attended First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Rockwood; a 1943 graduate of Roane County High School; attended UCLA &
Texas A& M; a retired foreman with Y-12 and a member of Rockwood Golf Course. He loved golf, fishing, gardening and his family. He was extremely loyal and respected and was worshipped by his grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Ensie & Essie Marshall; brother, J.E. Marshall.

                                        Lola Mae Walker of Knoxville, TN

                                        Tammy Walker Zaino & husband, Dean of Houston, TX
                                        Harold “Kenny” Manning & wife, Debra of Castalian Springs, TN

                                         Mia Zaino, Lauren Manning, Melissa Manning, Natalie Manning

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 328 W. Rockwood Street, Rockwood, TN 37854.

The family will receive friends Sunday, February 3, 2008 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Evans Mortuary. Funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Kara Kleinschmidt officiating. Graveside service will be Monday, February 4 at 12:00 noon in the Kingston Memorial Gardens with military honors by the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard.
