Mrs. Virginia B. Davis, age 89, of Rockwood, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2008 in the Roane Medical Center.  A member of the First Assembly of God, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry H. Davis, Jr.;  a brother, Ray Busby of White House, Tennessee; two sisters, Thelma Oden of Bowling Green, Kentucky and Florence Clayton of Rockwood.

Survivors include:

Son                  Robert W. Davis, Sr. (Debra) of Shreveport, Louisiana

Daughter        Marion D. Hoofnagle (David) of Harriman

Son                  Harold Gordon Davis, Sr. (Diane) of Rockwood

Daughter        Evelyn D. Forbes (Spencer) of Rockwood

10 Grandchildren

Numerous Great grandchildren

A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 1:00 pm in the Oak Grove Cemetery with Bro. Nolan Moore officiating.  A time of fellowship will follow at the Evans Mortuary.

the virginia davis family" i just wanted to know that my prayers are with you. mr and mrs. davis were such good neighbors and i do miss them. they were a devoted couple and it was touching to watch the two of them together. there was a mutual respect and love that anyone could sense. mrs. davis was a true southern lady. i loved to hear her talk with her southern accent. she loved her family as no other.
