Mr. Virgil “Ray” Collette, age 54, of the Evans Heights in Rockwood, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 in the Rockwood Care & Rehabilitation Center.  He was a dedicated member of the Grace Church in Rockwood;  and an avid fan of the UT Vols and the Rockwood Tigers.  Preceded in death by his parents, Millard Arnold Collette and Ruthie Mae Peterman;  and a sister, Evaline Wicks.

Survivors include:

                                    Elene Goney (David) of Rockwood
                                    Shirley Russell of Rockwood
                                    Mary Cunningham of Rockwood
Special niece           Alicia Goney of Kingston
Special nephew      Isaiah Goney of Kingston
A host of                    Other nieces, nephews and cousins

The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the Evans Mortuary.  Graveside service will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery with Rev. Doyle Bowen officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Evans Mortuary for his final expense.
