Mrs. Velma Choate, devoted mother, grandmother, sister & friend, passed away Monday, April 28, 2008 in the Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. She was a resident of Ten Mile, TN. Preceded in death by husband, Denver Choate; parents, Frances & Ernest Hinds; mother-and father-in-law, Rufus & Sarah Jane Choate; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

The family will receive friends Thursday, May 1, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood. Funeral service will be Friday, May 2, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Ted Clower & Rev. Glenn Ledbetter officiating. Burial will follow at Waterford Cemetery in Ten Mile. Grandsons will be pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Brice Choate, Taylor Morris, Daniel, Robin, J.J. & Josh Sheldon.
