Mrs. Betty Lee Kanipe, age 74 of Rockwood passed away Sunday, December 27, 2009 at the Bridge.  A member of Mountain View Baptist Church, she loved gospel and country music; kept her good sense of humor; and loved children, devoting her time to babysitting.  Preceded in death by her parents Claude and Pauline Burnette; husband Charles Kanipe; and a brother Jim Burnette.

 

Survivors include:

Son                  James Kanipe

Brother            Gene Burnette (Helen) of Englewood

Sister               Mary Edna Wicks of Rockwood

Brother            Walter Burnette of Rockwood

Several            Nieces and Nephews

 

Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Evans Mortuary with Rev. Wayne Burnette officiating.  Interment in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
