Mr. James Carroll “Jim” Hughett, age 86, formerly of Elm Avenue, Rockwood, TN passed away Sunday, December 9, 2007 in the Rockwood Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was born April 22, 1921 in Morristown, TN. Mr. Hughett was of the Church of God faith; a retired carpenter and member of the Carpenter’s Union; and had helped to build some of the biggest hotels on Miami Beach, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Commodore & Al Hughett; spouses; and several brothers and sisters.

And several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 12, 2007 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Evans Mortuary. Graveside services and interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood with Chaplain Dewayne Renfro officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer’s Association.
