Mrs. Bertha Eldridge Green, age 84, a resident of Lower Road, Rockwood, TN passed away Thursday, November 1, 2007 at her residence. She was born January 15, 1923 in Overton County, TN. Mrs. Green graduated from the Tennessee School For The Deaf in Knoxville, TN; attended the Trinity Baptist Church in Harriman, TN; and was retired from Kaisor Roth Industries in Rockwood where she had perfect attendance for over 15 years. Mrs. Green was a strong Christian lady and an avid animal lover. She was very active in her community and was a kind neighbor who helped all her neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents, William & Dovie Eldridge; brothers, Milton Eldridge and Denton Eldridge; and sisters, Ethel Eldridge and Clarcie Green.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 3, 2007 at 8:00 p.m. E.S.T. (7:00 C.S.T.) from the Chapel of Evans Mortuary with Rev. David Bailey officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held Sunday, November 4, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. E.S.T. (2:00 p.m. C.S.T.) in the Love Joy Cemetery in Overton County, TN. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 3, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. E.S.T. at the Evans Mortuary.
