Mrs. Mattie Pearline Ewing, age 58, a resident of Roberts Street, Harriman, TN passed away Monday, December 3, 2007 in the Methodist Medical Center, Oak Ridge, TN. She was born February 17, 1949 in Harriman, TN. Mrs. Ewing was a member of Williams Chapel AME Zion Church in Harriman; and was a kind and good hearted person who always helped others. She loved softball, horseshoe, fishing, westerns, and card games. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin George Ewing; mother, Frankie Lucille Ewing; sisters, Katy Ewing, Mary Thompson, and Margaret Thompson; and grandparents, Willie Thompson, Sr. & Evie Thompson.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 10, 2007 at 12:00 noon from the Chapel of Evans Mortuary with Rev. R.T. Smith and Pastor Jeff Jenkins officiating. Graveside services and interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood. The family will receive friends Monday, December 10, 2007 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the Evans Mortuary.
