Jug was one of the first few people i met when i started boilermaking and he was a hard worker who also made things fun on the job for others. I always had a blast working with him my prayers are with his family and hoping his wife recovers well.

Jug will be missed by many, he was the "TREE MAN" for a lot of Roane County and he also was one of the best Boilermakers in Local 453. I work many years with and around Jug. He was one of the men that took the lead on many jobs and a person could always count of him carrying his part of the work and helping other carry theirs. He was a excellent welder, rigger but most of all he was a friend. I will miss my friend Jug as will many. I am sorry for your loss of such a fine person and friend.

Jug was a boilermaker. Without a doubt, one of the hardest working craftsman on any job. I was involved in a tube count race with Jug in Rome Ga. Leo Elloitt and I were racing Jug and Raymond Luther. We were working for Georeg Kessler. I thought we were close until George told me that Jug and Raymond quit work at 30 tubes and would look for him and wet him just to have fun. Jug did have fun on the job and made it fun for those that worked with him. I know that people will miss Jug but the craft will miss him even more. "Little Fat Eye" will be missed by all.
