Mrs. Beatrice Vitatoe, age 87, a resident of the Mountain View community of Rockwood, TN passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at her residence. She was born October 8, 1922 in Spring City, TN to Jerry Chapman Mincy and Jennie Carden Mincy. Mrs. Vitatoe was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. B. Vitatoe; an infant daughter; daughter, Jennie Vitatoe; sister, Flora Boles; and brothers, J.D. Mincy, Mattie Mincy, Jr. Mincy, and Lee Mincy.
Survivors include:
Children: Virginia McClendon & husband, Stan of Hixson, TN
Billy Vitatoe & wife, Donna of Rockwood, TN
Mary Jones & husband, Allen of Rockwood, TN
7 Grandchildren
9 Great Grandchildren
Sisters: Lucille Cox of Soddy Daisy, TN
Anna Carney of Martinez, GA
And several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Evans Mortuary with Rev. Doyle Bowen officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held Friday, February 26, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 25, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Evans Mortuary.
