Mr. Jerry Brooks Standifer, Sr. age 69, Knoxville, TN, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2009 at his residence.  He was born December 21, 1939.  He was of the Baptist faith, and a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Rhoda (Standifer) Russell of Coalfield, TN. sister; Mary Evelyn Standifer, infant half brother; Charles Wesley Russell.

The family will be receiving friends at Evans Mortuary, Rockwood, TN, Wednesday, November 18, 2009 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.  Funeral service will follow in the Chapel of Evans Mortuary at 7:00 p.m. with Donald and Tim Russell officiating.  Graveside services and interment will be Thursday, November 19 at 1:30 p.m. at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 5901 Lyons View Pike, Knoxville, TN.
