Mr. Shirley Lee Lowery, age 70, a resident of the Daysville community of Rockwood, TN passed away Saturday, June 19, 2010 in the Cumberland Medical Center, Crossville, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie & Lola Lowery; brothers, C.B. Lowery and Johnny Lowery; and sisters, Emma Sue Hayes Cox and Mary Lowery.

 

Survivors include:

 

Wife:                                       Hazel Abston Lowery of Daysville, TN

 

Children:                               Tim Lowery of Daysville, TN

                                                Gail Gann of Nashville, TN

                                                Carol Blanton of Westel, TN

 

5 Grandchildren:                  Michael Maiorino, Justin Maiorino, Rachael Howell, Travis Blanton, and Jessica Blanton

 

Great Granddaughter:         Kailey Howell

 

Sister:                                     Myrtle Meredith of Powell, TN

 

Dog:                                        “Molly”

 

And several special nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

 

 

 

Memorial services will be held Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. with his friend, Noble “L” Brown officiating. Private graveside services and interment will be held at a later date

with full military honors in the Lingo Cemetery in the Westel community of Rockwood.

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 24, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Evans Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
