Mr. Terry Lee (Beason) Hampton, Sr., age 64, a resident of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Roane County, TN, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2009 at his home in Knoxville. He was born June 28, 1945 in Rockwood, TN. Mr. Hampton was a retired police officer and public court processer. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, serving 12 years. He was a non-denominational Christian and enjoyed reading his Bible. He was preceded in death by his mother, Cordy Beason; step-father, George Beason; grandparents, Charlie & Bessie Hampton; and brother, Dewayne Beason.

Wife: Karen Hampton of Knoxville, TN
Daughter: Yugenia Hampton Porter & husband of Wilmington, NC
Sons: Terry Lee Hampton II & wife, of Wilmington, NC
Michael Shane Hampton & wife of Lenoir City, TN
Step-son: Matthew Lawrence Thompson of Phoenix, AZ
Grandchildren: Nicholas, Samuel, Ethen, Gabriel, Allanna, and Dylan
Sister: Joyce “Jo” Beason Cline & husband, Ken of Harriman, TN
Nieces and Nephews: Kenny Cline, Kim Johnson, Tony Beason, and Dewayne Beason, Jr.
And several aunts and uncles, and numerous cousins.
Graveside services and interment will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at 9:30 a.m.
In the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery; 5901Lyons View Pike; Knoxville, TN
with Rev. Freddie Hampton officiating. Military honors will be given by the East
Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to Mission of

Pike; Knoxville, TN 37938.
