To:  Vernon Cooper, Ricky Cooper, and Gayle Bosma,
My mother and I were so sorry to learn of Ellen's death. She was such a wonderful person. I have many fond memories of her and your family as a child in Rockwood.
My mother, Jane Grant, is living here in a retirement home in Hickory, NC, where I have lived with my family for about twenty years. My daughter, Mary Elizabeth Anne, graduated from the Univ. of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2007 and works for an advertising agency in Charlotte.
It has been so many years since we were in touch.  It is unfortunate that it takes a sad event such as this to renew old friendships.  Needless to say, you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,
Jane Grant, Hank Grant (Hickory, NC)
