Mrs. Nellie Mae Brogdon Boles, age 92, formerly of Rockwood, TN died December 11, 2009 at NHC in Springfield, TN. Mrs. Boles was born January 6, 1917 in Rockwood, TN to Horace and Winnie Burns Brogdon. She was a member of Eureka Baptist Church, Rockwood. Mrs. Boles retired from Burlington Industries after 46 years of service. Besides her parents, Mrs. Boles was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. (Rattler) Boles and brother, Joe Brogdon.

 

Survivors include:

 

Daughter: Kay Jones and husband, Paul of Nashville, TN

 

Son: G. W. Boles and wife, Brenda of Powell, TN

 

Grandchildren: Jeff Jones and wife, Julie

 Bo Boles and wife, Heather

 Angie Cox and husband, Justin

 

Great Grandchildren: Garrett Boles, Bryson Boles, Gracie Cox, Jeb Cox and

 Makailea Jones

 

Sisters: Margie Starkey of Elyria, OH

Mildred Woodall of Rockwood, TN

 

Brother: Fred Brogdon and wife, Margaret of Rockwood, TN

 

 

Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 13, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Evans Mortuary with Rev. Mike Winters officiating. Graveside service and interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Rockwood. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 12 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Evans Mortuary.
